Kudos to LSRPs

Since the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program was created with the signing of the NJ Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) in 2009, LSRPs have had great success supporting the goal of the SRRA to protect public health by speeding the site remediation process. According to NJDEP statistics reported by the Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA), of the 4,735 “old” sites that had been stagnating in the investigation phase for at least 10 years, LSRPs completed the investigation phase on 3,488 of them by the May 2014 deadline, with the remainder of the sites granted a two-year extension. What’s more, since 2012—when the LSRP program was fully implemented—more than 7,000 Response Action Outcome (RAO) documents have been issued and nearly 4,500 cases closed. BEI is proud of the many LSRPs on our team and all the LSRPs who deliver so well on their responsibility for overseeing environmental investigations and cleanups.
